This unit is part of the Printing and Graphic Arts, and Information and Communications Technology Training Packages. It describes the skills and knowledge required to use digital camera technology for the production of colour separated images.

Statements are awarded on completion of accredited training programs, individual units of competency, as well as preparatory education (including Foundation and English Langauge Intensive Course for Overseas Students - ELICOS) courses.
Vocational Education & Training (VET) courses are offered by TAFE institutions, private providers and some universities. They are accredited by the VET authority in each state or territory. Awards under the new Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) include Certificate I - IV; Diploma and Advanced Diploma (also offered in Higher Education); and Vocational Graduate Certificate and Vocational Graduate Diploma.
Courses included are mainly Certificate IV and non-award courses. These courses provide skills at a level beyond trade or trade equivalent skills.
Art, art conservation, art history, craft, dance, drama, fashion design, fine arts, floristry, graphic arts & design, jewellery-making, music, painting, photography, sculpture, singing.
The Innovation and Business Industry Skills Council includes, amongst others, training for the Printing Sector, which is composed of three principal areas: pre-press, press and post-press. The Training Package, Printing and Graphic Arts, covers the streams of: Carton, General Pathways, Graphics, Other Sectors, Printing and Finishing, Screen Printing, and Services/Merchants.
Entry to these courses do not require completion of any specific level of schooling. Other entry requirements such as relevant experience may apply.

Courses are offered on site over the weekend allowing students to combine full-time work with full-time study.
